Bone Vivant Brunch – Join Us Sunday, June 13, and Bring Your Dog!

The Bone Vivant Brunch hosted by Lake Shore Animal Shelter, Sunday, June 13 at the renowned Swissotel honors Dr. Sheldon Rubin, DVM, recently retired from Blum Animal Hospital after a sterling career and many deep ties in Chicago’s pet community. Steve Dale, host of Pet Central on WLS Radio, will be the Master of Ceremonies.

Join us for a fabulous brunch at the Swissotel , located at 323 E Wacker Drive, and bring your dog – your darlings will have their own scrumptious brunch table of goodies.

A silent auction raises funds for homeless pets at Lake Shore Animal Shelter, and always offers unique items great and grand – Cubs seats you could not buy, VIP backstage tours, private charters, fabulous hotel packages, designer items for pampered pets, portraits, artwork, resort golf packages, and more, all thanks to our many friends. The highlight of the event will be a tribute to the career and accomplishments of Dr. Rubin, perhaps most widely known as Oprah’s Vet, and less so for being Vet to those who could not afford pet care. Past President of the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association and also President of the American Heartworm Society, Dr Rubin spent hundreds of hours communicating with the public through TV and radio programs on issues important to their pets’ health. Dr Rubin also serves on the board of the Anti-Cruelty Society.
