Special Need For Funds

Jerry, poor dog, had a middle of the night incident, gagging/coughing uncontrollably and crying. He was swallowing really hard and drooling excessively. Anxious to go out, but still inconsolable afterwards, his whole body started shaking.

The vet found that his heart rate and temperature were normal but recommended x-rays. Nothing was obstructing his throat but it was irritated. His lungs/chest were inflamed, the vet surmised this was due to his heartworm treatment and possibly combined with kennel cough. Three prescriptions later, she gave him a shot to get him through the night but this made him incredibly anxious - would not stop crying and pacing. It was a very long, confusing night for Jerry. He is doing much better now, but continues to weeze.

Jerry goes in for his second treatment towards the end of February. If we can raise $343 to cover the initial bill, it would really help. It’s the unexpected bills that undermine budgets, as most of know these days, so whatever amount you can share is very much appreciated.
